Ganesha

Ganesha (also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar) is one of the most recognizable and widely worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. He is the elephant-headed son of Shiva and Parvati, and is revered as the remover of obstacles and the patron of arts, sciences, intellect, and wisdom.

Ganesha's form is depicted in many variations — standing, sitting, dancing, heroic, and even child-like. He may appear in graceful postures or with multiple arms holding symbolic objects: an axe, a lotus, a sweet, and his own broken tusk.
